First Community Forums Held at Bank of Commerce and Parent Advisory Council

Thank you to everyone who attended the first of 5 community forums on the Pilot Community Tourism Grant application. A lunch-time presentation took place at the Bank of Commerce, where Joe Willauer, Kristina Abbey (City of Dillon), Jamie Cottom (Beaverhead Trails Coalition), Katrina Kennett (Terminus Distillery), and Russ Schwandt and RayAnn Sutton (both with Dillon Main Street) were on hand to provide information on the grant and lead the discussion regarding the Committee’s goals and intentions for the grant application. Public input included investing in current events to attract more visitors, and increasing marketing including a central community event page.

Later that evening, Katrina Kennett presented at the Parent Advisory Council. It went well - they were really excited about the idea of a community calendar. Live music came up, especially if there were key weekends where there are multiple events to go to / walk around to.
